   THE REPAIR PROCESS   

Unfortunately, the process of collision repair begins with whatever event caused damage to your vehicle.  From there, the process can be broken down into a few easy steps. After the event, you must obtain any other party’s personal and insurance information, talk with your insurance company, and locate a collision repair facility. You will then need to get an estimate of the repairs needed to fix your vehicle at the chosen repair facility. Depending on the severity of your repairs, and your policy, you may need to negotiate the repair terms with your insurer.  If you are the “not at fault party” your insurance may handle these negotiations for you. Once this is complete, the repair job will be assigned. 

You can rest assured with Ray’s Auto Body that we are insurance friendly and will work with your insurance company to provide you with the highest available levels of collision repairs and service available. Once we receive the assignment and we get your car into our repair center, we will begin the process of repairing the vehicle.

Our commitment to you is to keep you as informed as possible as to the status of your repairs.  If we run into any unforeseen issues such as non-repairable damage, parts delays, equipment failure, etc. we will make every attempt to contact you.

  DELIVERY DATE 

We make every effort to repair your vehicle on time. Unfortunately, delays sometimes occur beyond our control.  Parts are back ordered, insurance adjustors need more time to review the hidden damage, or sublet contractors are unavailable.  Due to the complexity of collision repairs and unexpected delays, the delivery date can only be estimated, not guaranteed. 

Please understand, we try very hard to meet delivery dates by coordinating schedules, ordering parts ahead of time and making every effort to control the repair process productively and efficiently.  We will keep you updated regularly on the status of your vehicle.

  PAYMENT   

Full payment is required before a vehicle leaves our shop.  We accept VISA and MasterCard for the deductible.  If you decide to deposit the insurance check into your own checking account, please be aware of the bank's policies on uncollected monies on checks or drafts can take up to two weeks to clear before you can draw against those funds. 

We will accept the insurance check providing all parties, prior to pickup of your vehicle, have properly endorsed it.  Please remember you are responsible for insurance deductibles.  Be prepared to pay that amount when you pick up the vehicle.  Repairs must be paid in full before the car is released.  No exceptions.
