GERMANIA FARM MUTUAL was organized in 1896 for the purpose of providing protection for farm property. At that time, insuring property in the rural and small community areas was virtually impossible and our founders saw the need for dependable Mutual Insurance. Germania operates under Chapter 911 of the Texas Insurance Code and provides its members with outstanding insurance protection while developing a record of sound protection and growth in many Texas communities throughout this century.
TRADITION
Germania Farm Mutual was organized in 1896 for the purpose of providing protection for farm property. At that time, insuring property in rural and small community areas was virtually impossible. Our founders saw the need for dependable mutual insurance and founded Germania under the motto "Bear Ye One Another's Burdens".
STRENGTH
More than 160,000 Texas property owners are members of Germania Farm Mutual Insurance Association chapters. Each local chapter is operated by officers elected by the local chapter members. Local representatives write the insurance and assist members with their claims in conjunction with a complete staff of Germania employees.

Germania Farm Mutual holds the rating of A (Excellent) from the A.M. Best Company, the oldest and most experienced rating agency in the industry. Ratings are based on an analysis of the financial condition and management performance of an insurance company in such vital areas as underwriting, control of expenses, adequate reserves, sound investments, profitability and capitalization.
