About Us
St. Timothy’s is a community of people seeking to be faithful to our baptismal promise to continue in the Apostles’+ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers. We also take to heart our baptismal obligation to seek and serve Christ in all people. We are committed to minister to the needs of those in and around our community.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that through the Scriptures and by the Holy Spirit God guides and directs us. It is our intention to keep the Faith and Practice of the ancient and undivided Church, ‘the Faith once and for all delivered to the saints’. Our public worship is biblical in form and content and the study and preaching of the Bible is central to our spirituality. Our unity is not of racial or political persuasion, of class or culture, but of faith in God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
We acknowledge Christ to be the Church’s one and only Head and we recognize the Holy Eucharist as the central form of worship. We believe God is actively present in the world and in us. Scripture is the foundation of our worship. Each of our Services includes readings from both the Old and New Testaments. We say both the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed in the Anglican Church. The word creed comes from the Latin word credo, which means “I believe”.
St. Timothy’s is a part of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA Church) and the Anglican Communion – a fellowship of churches with over 70 million people throughout the world, including Africa and the Middle East, as well as North and South America, Europe and Australia.
Our Services
We offer three services of Holy Communion on Sunday mornings. At 7:30 we have a quiet traditional service with no music, at 8:45 we offer a traditional service with hymns and our 11:00 service is a contemporary service with praise music. Christian Education meets at 10:15am. In addition, a Spanish Mass is celebrated at 1:00pm.
Holy Communion is also served on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm, followed by healing prayers.
Morning Prayer is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:00am.
